NO CONFIDENCE MOTION- ( Awishwas prastav )

Recently, in the monsoon session of the Parliament, a motion of no confidence has been brought by the opposition party on the present government, which is very much discussed.

What is No Confidence Motion ?
Article 75 of the Constitution states that the Council of Ministers shall be collectively responsible to the Lok Sabha. This means that the Council of Ministers is there only as long as it has a majority in the House.
In other words, the Lok Sabha can remove the cabinet by passing a no-confidence motion. The consent of 50 members is mandatory in support of the proposal.

WHAT IS process of No Confidence Motion ?
● This proposal is passed in the Lok Sabha only when it is presented.
 ● While presenting the proposal, it is necessary to be dedicated by at least 50 members of the Lok Sabha.
● The nature of the motion is such that only the   opposition moves it. 
● It is passed by simple majority only 
● If it is passed then resignation letter is expected from the government.
● No-confidence motion can be presented again only after an interval of 6 months.

What is significant of No-confidence motion ?
● It is not necessary to state the reason for accepting it in the Lok Sabha .
● It can be brought only against the entire Council of Ministers.
● It is brought to determine the confidence of the Lok Sabha in the Council of Ministers.
